What Is An Advanced Lesson?
An advanced lesson can be anything from learning how to foilboard to learning how to jump. It can be improving foilboarding skills such as learning how to tack or jibe. There is an almost infinite potential for kiteboarding jumps. Here is a list of the different kiteboarding jumps we feel comfortable teaching.

How An Advanced Lesson Works
Everything is custom to the individual. We begin with the goals of the individual. Some rider’s goals take more than one session. For this situation, we customize a progression plan specific for them. In the consultation, we will come up with a game-plan most effective for the individual.
After a general game-plan is formed, the next step is to coordinate a time for the lesson. We schedule based on the individual’s availability and when the conditions are perfect for best progression.
On The Water Lesson
We utilize the jetski to find the perfect location for progression. This location will have the right conditions and least number of riders in a specific spot. The right condition will vary depending on skills learned. For example, learning how to foilboard will require deep water while learning how to jump favors more shallow waters. The jetski can also be used to provide realtime coaching while the individual is riding.
Our advanced kiteboarding lesson also includes use of video. At a more experienced level, it benefits the individual to see themselves. If a person is making the same mistake time and time again, we can pause the session and review the video. With the appropriate coaching, the individual can resume their session while consciously making changes to their riding based on video feedback.
One thing that makes us unique to any other school is that our pedagogical approach changes to best suit the individual. While many other instructors say the same things over and over hoping the individual changes, we can change our technique to better suit the individual. Communication is a key variable that we are conscious of and willing to adapt to make the learning process more effective.

Equipment
The equipment used can be the individuals or our equipment. In the consultation we will discuss the best approach towards the equipment used. The equipment we use is from Cabrinha and is in tune. No matter the brand, it is important that the control bar is in tune. This will assure the best performance out of the kite.
Overall Goals
The overall objective is to provide the individual rider with the tools to accomplish their goals. We want them to reach their goals, but also have the skills to continue to progress on their own. Whether it is a beginner or advanced lesson, our methodology includes providing the appropriate foundation for the individual to succeed on their own.
